If you were just starting out, and your "farm" consisted of only 2 horses, what would your first purchase be?

In order to qualify for tax exempt status the farm has to make $10,000 a year. How do you do that on 8 acres?

I've thought about goats, chickens, pretty much everything but cows, lol
