My lifesaver is a thick down comforter, even here. Like an idiot I had the chirmneyremoved and refuse to spend $5,000 for a few weeks of light heat. I have an assortment of space heaters and use them as needed.

I guess it's not as cold as a lot of you have it, actually. I just know I am *very* happy to have the down coat this year. Honestly, this is the first year I can ever remember not being cold when I went outside. LOVE THAT! I tell people I do occasionally see sunrise, but it's only if I'm still up. Like today, I became engrossed in a novel and didn't finally fall into a coma until about 6:15am. Normally I sleep from about 3:30am-Noon.
