Fall blooming rhododendrons?

Battle Ground, WA(Zone 8b)

This is the smaller of two rhododendrons at my new house, planted by previous owners. It is just starting to bloom here in November. Is this unusual here in zone 9b? Can anyone help me identify the variety? The plant is about 4 feet tall; the largest leaves are about 5 inches long. The flowers start off very purple but seem to be getting pinker as they open up. BTW the leaves are dusty after a recent rain -- I probably should hose them off.

My other rhododendron has larger (about 7-8") leaves and hasn't started blooming yet, although it's covered with large buds.

Thanks for any help anyone can give me -- I'm new to rhododendrons. Bought a house with a beautiful garden and am trying to keep it that way.

I did a search and nothing came up for 'very late'. For late there were 2: Johnathan Swift and CT Yankee.
