This was the earliest measurable snow I can remember. It's all gone now.
The weather has been so bad, (floods and all) I haven't been able to dig them up. Today will be the day.
Belinda, What you see is what we got. There are reports of up to 4 inches a bit north of Boston.

Andy, that is a strange and beautiful picture. I never thought I would see a dahlia blooming in the snow.

What a wonderful way to punctuate the season- and still the brave little dahlia blooms on despite the white icing. Am glad to hear it melted for you. Happy digging and happier drying out! You NE'ers have been swamped badly of late.

thanks for the photo!

All the tubers and bulbs are in now, I'm sore.
This has been the wettest October on record, over 15 inches of rain.
But it is also the first year I can remember with no frost in Oct. either.
