just a reminder to all y'all out there--
late october/early november is when lowe's closes out all their houseplant stock for winter.
it probably varies according to zones but they dump all stock before winter every year--it's a grrrrrreat time to adopt some VERY cheap, if somewhat raggedy, orphans.
i go, pick through for the best (healthiest) and lug them home to trim up and nurse into my overwinter pals. houseplants are awfully expensive this far north--this is the only time i can afford to get the big guys! they're often going for just a couple of bucks and HUGE. (i have a 10 foot fiddleleaf fig sitting right behind me that i got 2 years ago for $3.00)
watering em keeps my indoor humidity up, which saves on heat too...*cheap cheap cheap*
