What is Magnolia acuminata subcordata's typical form?

Cincinnati, OH(Zone 6b)

I've got a Magnolia acuminata seedling (not subcordata) and I'm curious as to the shape it takes in full-sun sites? Same question for M. acuminata subcordata (particularly as pertains to the cultivar "Ellen"). Do either of these species grow quickly? Thanks,

Decumbent

Lexington, VA(Zone 6a)

Decumbent, from Dirr's Manual of Woody Landscape Plants: M. acuminata - medium to fast growth rate (0 to 15' over a 4 to 6 year period. The trees appear pyramidal and compact in youth but this is misleading for with maturity 60 to 70' specimens with a spread of 70 to 85' and large, massive, spreading branches often develop; great character tree. Only information on the cultivar 'Ellen' is: yellow-variegated leaf form, probably a var. subcordata selection, named after the daughter of Alfred Fordham, former propagator, Arnold Arboretum. Hope this helps.
