To be rid of Snails and Slugs

Erwin, TN(Zone 7a)

Does anyone else use Snails to eat the Slugs and snails eating their plants?--I have caught and introduced in to the greenhouse Rosy Predator Snail, they have multiplied and now all I find is snail shells laying all over the greenhouse, and haven't seen a slug in months.

That's a great idea for a greenhouse! Does Rosy Predator Snail occur locally? I'd be cautious about letting anything that aggressive/effective get outside if it's not already part of the local ecosystem...

I found the Snails out side, in the woods by my greenhouse.I don't know how far their natural range goes, or if they are suposed to be here. But they do work well. I know that in California the citrus growers use a relitive of the Rosy Predator Snail, the Decollate Snail to control the other snails eating the Citrus trees.

I have been watching the snails and they are eating moss off the plastic on the walls and ceiling, --maybe I won't have to cleen it --maybe they can survive without other snails to eat.

The Big ones eat the little ones , but so far not each other.
