Louise,
Look what is blooming for me. I got these in the first batch you sent . They were'nt named. I went to your website and checked out your pictures. I think it may be Winesap. What do you think? I am so pleased with it. Thank you again for sharing such beauties with us.
Winnie
Weegy12's Iris Winesap?
Yippeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Winnie!!!! I do have Winesap but I don't know if that's it...maybe someone can help us ID it. I am so happy that you got a bloom!!! Good things are coming your way! Hugs!
Whatever it is, it's beautiful.
how lucky to have that happen
" Go girl ! "
you have a green thumb or great luck ?
Or both ? still to darn hot for rebloom here
today in 90 ° again
Louise,
It had two buds on it but one dried out. I have been watching it for weeks. I like to think of it as a little gift from heaven telling me he's ok. I will go thru your pictures again and see if I can match him up with a name.
Doss, yes he is a beauty isn't he? I love the color.
Tazzy, I don't know if it was luck or what. It is the only one that has bloomed for me and it could'nt have bloomed at a better time for me.
Winnie
Beautiful Winnie, I'm so glad you're enjoying it. I'll look through my pictures and see if I have one of Winesap and post it, if I have it.
Enjoy!!
that is absolutely gorgeous!
I don't remember digging up Adobe Rose, but I do remember digging up Winesap. Anybody recognize this beauty? I, of course, can't find my picture!

Not Adobe Rose ,
it has no half marking . your pic and
Winesap has half marking
looking for picture too .
Winesap is listed as a rebloomer
Winesap ( M.BYERS )1989- E-M-RE.
Sandards deep wine red
falls - near wine black. red orange beardslight sweet fragrance TB 33'
If I could remember what I sent you Winnie, this dilemma would be over! I know I didn't send you Chinese New Year or Double Espoir so you can rule those two out!
Did the name wear off of this one? Sorry about that.
The first batch was'nt labeled. it really does'nt matter it's a beauty anyway. I am just glad it bloomed.
Winnie
Well, shame on me. I think what must have happened is that I dug them up and the names were on the leaves but the leaves dried out and I must have pulled them off. Anyway, I'm glad you like it and it couldn't have bloomed for a nicer person.
HUGS!
Louise.
I think th bottom leaves were dried on them . That is probably the reason for the names missing.
I really think it is Winesap.
Winnie
Looks like yours, Winnie has orange beards, mine doesn't have orange beards...the dilemma continues!
Louise,
I rechecked all your iris and I have decided it is Sheer Fantasy.
OK, let me see if I have a picture of Sheer Fantasy!
Winnie, looks like we're getting closer.!
I just compared and I think you've solved the dilemma of the unknown iris!

TB 32" by Larry Lauer
Standards neyron rose
edged orange buff
Falls..imperial purple,edged venetian pink.
beads burnt orange,ruffled,slight musky fragrance
parents Mach hombre x Role Model. evolving Sinister x Role Model x Sheba Queen.
By George that is it !
Role Model is in there twice and it has a tendency to re bloom but not enough to be listed as a
re bloomer
this is Larry descriptions, at the convention I'm going to ask him what is the color neyron?
the late Chet Tompkins use to use colors I had never heard of . I love a lot of Mr Laure iris
My favorites of his are,
Modern Major General and Stairway to Heaven
I am gonna journal that in my notebook so I will know what and where it is.
Thanks
Winnie
