No, that is actually the end of the rain - you brought nice weather north with you!. Gusty winds all day today will drive that rainstorm out to sea.

Phoenix, MD(Zone 7a)

Sidney great shot!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks,
I hope I did bring good weather with me. I still am shocked everytime I step outside and have that cold air hit me, and I know 50 is not cold. The folks here are so polite, it is refreshing.
I may take many pictures, high speed down load is fast.

Goodness! I just went out to let the cats out for the day and BRRRRRRRRRRR!!!! 35°!!!! That's the coldest we've gotten yet. But it's supposed to be warm all week, even reaching into the 70s later in the week.

Nice picture, sugarweed! That sky is on fire!! I took this one last week, during an evening drive to Fort Wayne:

Tomorrow it's supposed to be in the mid 70's.

We got 1.4 inches of rain from Sunday night until now. We can get rain in October, but 1.4 inches is a good bit for this time of year. I suspect the rain is done for today, but I can't tell.

Beautiful blue and gold October day here. Temps in the low 70's, light breeze. Rotortilled the rest of the garden. Next year it will be 75% daylilies. LOL

Wow, yes the weather here is great, but se_eds it is supposed to rain Friday.

38 degrees on the porch at 6 AM. Still we are scheduled for another blue and gold day. Each day is a gift and treasure - I enjoy it while I have it.

Yes, Sugar, rain Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

My daughter in southern Fla. is looking forward to a possible hurricane this weekend.

Fall is butterfly season in my yard. However, they are very camera shy. This is as close as I can get. This is a painted lady on west Texas mist flower. Monarchs are even harder to photograph. They won't even alight when I have the camera out. It's a tiny camera, but they just know when I have the camera out. You know how animals are.

What a pretty picture Kelli. Thanks for sharing.

We had a cool and overcast day, getting ready to rain I guess. Really feels like fall.

L.A. (Canoga Park), CA(Zone 10a)

This is a West Coast Lady at the Grand Canyon last week. It wasn't nearly as shy as my local butterflies. The plant is rabbitbrush.

You are a good photographer. Another nice 'catch'.

Oh, I think our nice extended fall is over....rain and cold for the next four days... We've been so fortunate, but still, no frost predicted either yet. We're WAY past the time when we should be having frost ALL the time.

Rocky Mount, VA(Zone 7a)

Ditto it was downright "cool" & "dreary" in cincinnati today, I dread next months visit at this point.

NORTHWEST MISSOURI : Cloudy, rainy, cold day. High about 50 degrees.

It's looking like full blown fall in the midwest. Our trees are gorgeous and turning colors. A hint of much cooler temps are in the air especially in the late evenings and early mornings now. I wish I could freeze frame our short lived fall seasons. Fall in Missouri for the most part is beautiful but not our winters.

Millersburg, PA(Zone 6b)

No killing frost here is Pa.yet either. Was 40 degrees until noon - I was out planting daylilies - all hardy dormants but one. Also ripped out some Coleus that showed signs of light frost and were droopy. Now up to 50 degrees, but still gusty and rainy.

Today I cut a rosemary bush way, way back. Yesterday I tied up the tomato plants because they have decided that it isn't time to call it a season yet. In fact, they're doing better now than they were in August. That Super Thrive stuff must really work. Also saw a tomato worm. Those things give me the willies.
