When I went to harvest my potatoes today, I kept finding these piles of little white egg things. There was often a solid black beetle nearby. I have googled for potato pests and can't find anything it might be. I scooped all the eggs I could and threw them in a covered container into the garbage, as well as killing all the beetles. There were also some large fat almost transparent worms, quite ugly, around. Spiders everywhere. But everywhere there were these eggs, there was almost a black beetle nearby. They were only near the potatoes (sometimes right among them), and in the row where I had already harvested earlier, there were none. (There were no pests at all when I harvested earlier.)
When I harvested today, there was only one potato that something had gotten into and begun to eat.
Anyone know what these eggs are from?
