We installed a basketball court dug into a hillside, surrounding it with a retaining wall. Only problem is the wall is a serious hazard to players. I especially worry about head injuries. I'm looking for a climbing or trailing plant that can provide some measure of padding. I've considered English Ivy along the lines of the walls at Wrigley Field, but worry about it taking over the rest of our yard. I also don't want roots to heave the wall or the court. There are cutouts in both corners where something could be planted (where the balls are resting in the photo), and beds above on all three sides. The picture shown is taken pointing due west, so the wall exposures are east, west and southwest. Any suggestions? Thanks
