This has probably already been posted, but I missed it. I have some special dat seeds that I tried to germinate earlier this summer by soaking, then planting them about 1/4-1/2 inch deep in soil in a pot. They did not grow even tho I kept the soil moist.
Does anyone here have any other suggestions, as I'm going to try again on another batch. Please help!
Thanks so much!
Yvonne
Need hints on growing dats from seeds
Yvonne, I don't soak mine, I plant them just below the surface, and put them under lights, worked for me.
Go to Propagation: How do you germinate Datura Seeds??? HELP!!!
you will need to scroll back to find it.

Thanks Yvonne for asking this, that's precisely why I came to this forum, also hints on brugmansia seeds..looking for How to's...any idea's any one.
Thanks ,
Brigitte
I havn't tried on Datura's or Brugs , but I am going to . I start my tomatoe plants in late Dec or early Jan . I put them on top of my hot water heater in a pan of water . I do water the potting soil with one cup of bleach in a gallon of water 2 days before I plant seeds .
