Clitorea ternatea-white

I am a little confused on this one...

I planted double white, but this is blooming single white...is this a temporary reversion (like double clematis can do?), or is there also a single white?

I only know of the single and double blue, and thought the white only came in double...?

Oh, well...anyway, it is a chilly 48 right now, and it even looks like the flower is cold! lol...(Normally the bloom is not curled in like that. )

I bought double white clitoria a few years back in one of those "plants of distinction" packages and very few were double, almost all were single. So who knows! LOL

I looked it up in the plantfiles, and all the pictures showed singles...

Weird, because I've only ever seen them in catalogs and on trade lists, as double white...never single white...

I got this in trade and it was marked double. One vine in another area WAS double, but this one was single...

Another weird thing was the one that was blooming double, finished blooming a month ago, and seeds are already set. This single bloomed for the first time today!!...in 48 degree weather!

Another-nother weird thing, lol...is that these two single blooms are huge! They are twice the size of the ones that bloomed double...

Weird vine? Or just the weird weather? Or, am I just weird? lol...
who knows...lol...

ps-
Donna, I know you've grown the sky vine, so just to give perspective and point out the size of the blooms...the leaf in the left of the picture is a leaf from a sky vine...
