After the Cedar Deck...
When we begin to plan the walkway my hubby, M and I knew we wanted brick and we wanted a design of our own.
I had seen a sketch in a historic gardens book that I described to M as a sort of crazy quilt pattern.
(Bricks set in multiple directions)
M suggested using Feng Shui shapes.
I sketched a fengshui crazy quilt plan for the walkway with overlapping shapes that was far too detailed and difficult for us to pull off.
Tossing the sketch aside and we just started moving bricks around until we came up with an acceptable pattern.
After that M did all the hard work and I kept him supplied with tall glasses of ice tea.
It's still got a ways to go, but we are making progress.
