venus fly trap
Sorry, no. But I've heard that from the seeds, they are growing sooooo slow.
Janet,
I am looking for them also. I wonder if i go buy one, how you take cuttings from them..does anyone know how? That way, we could all have one, if i could root cuttings
Sandy
here's a link to a nursery that sells seed http://members.aol.com/cegnursery/id34.htm
They also have good cultural info. FYI, you will need to have long fibered sphagnum moss, NOT peat moss. They will not grow in soil and starting them from seed is difficult.
Good LUck!
thanks jerseyguy for the info.
Here's some more info from a great site on carnivorous plants (Sarracenia.com) :

Hi All,
I would have to disagree about them being so slow from seed, but then we live in sunny Florida and that may make a difference. We get really good sized mature plants in just 2-3 years from seed, way bigger than what the nurseries are selling. Cook's Carnivores (www.flytrap.com) has a some very good cultivation info. And we use a mixture of peat moss and sand to grow them in. If you grow them in sphagnam moss and don't replace it first thing in spring, they will usually die. That's why we don't grow them in sphagnam moss. If you can manage to grow them in live sphagnam moss, them no worries.
