This originally started as a birthday gift, but I liked it so much I kept it for myself :) I headed to Lowes to buy a 'few' plants and a small container - they had such a great assortment, I had to choose a larger container to fit them all!

I didn't plant it (obviously!), but it looks like a kind of calathea.

Thank you Kaleem, Kelly's right, it is a Calathea (Rosey Rosea Picta) - link here: http://exoticangel.com/ - look under their listings for Calathea - now if I could just find 'Dottie' - it's beautiful!
