I am planning to use some glass blocks as pedestals and the blocks I bought from Lowe's have a whitish film on the sides. I believe it is supposed to help the grout stick to the blocks but I am not using grout. This stuff appears to be some sort of glue type material; you can scrape it off but it is not easy.
I hope some of the handy people on this forum will have some ideas on removing this material?
