I have a few rose bushes in a container and I am wondering how to winterize them? Any ideas? Thanks! k

Hi :)
I grow a bunch of roses in containers, and am planning on putting them either in the shed, or in the unfinished part of the basement. Here's a link with great winter tips:

I just started by being very nice to our new roses, because they came from some very nice ladies and they were in fantastic shape when we got them. Our seller told us that each rose needs 7 gallons of dirt for roots so my DH built a couple of 14 gal boxes for them, but aside from that, we were just planning to mulch heavily and leave them out all winter.
