This is one of the few dahlias that has done really well for me this summer. It's Jessie G and very nearly a round ball in shape. It's one I'm going to try to winter over.

Very pretty bloom Susan. Would you call it pink or reddish? Purple? It's gorgeous regardless, but someone referred to theirs as Red on another site and I wondered if that was truly the right color.

It comes across more as a purple than what the photo shows.

Glad to hear it's purple. It's a wonderful bloom. I lost all of my "Purple Poms" (name lost long ago and it was really a Ball size) last year and Jessie G might be the replacement one I'm after.
