Water ph

Presque Isle, MI(Zone 5a)

I am new to Daves garden. . First time posting. I just checked the pH of my water, it is 7.5. Will I ever be able to get blue flowers on my hydrangeas?

Gary the secret is aluminum sulfate. You can get a bag at the nursery. Just dissolve a couple of tablespoons in a gallon of water and water your hydrangeas every 3 months or so with this. Be sure not to put on too much as that won't do them any good. I also get the Expert fertilizer for acid loving plants (this is like Osmocote but not as expensive) at Walmart. I throw a couple of tablespoons in spring and in fall around my hydrangea plants. Hope this helps. Jenny
