New E-Book Out On CD From Sarracenia Northwest

Culpeper, VA(Zone 7a)

Just received this e-mail from Sarracenia (www.cobraplants.com) & figured I'd throw it on here as a CP public service announcement - lol!!! Haven't seen it yet myself, but after investigating all the info these guys have to offer on a regular basis, am thinking of perhaps investing in it as it does sound like a good up-to-date reference to have on hand for CP's.

"Got some great news! After several months of delay because
of our move to the country, our e-book is finally available!

This e-book is definitely one of our crowning achievements
since having started the nursery in 1995. When we wrote the
first draft, the e-book came out to 80,000 words and 300
pages! And that was without photographs! The final draft is
so huge that we have to deliver it on CD only.

There really is nothing like it out there. The amount of
information you will find in the e-book is so vast that no book
on the cultivation of carnivorous plants comes even close!
Yes, that is quite a statement. But, if you read all carnivorous
plant books currently available and then read our e-book, you
will find information not found anywhere else!

With the e-book, you will literally have our 22 year experience
right at your fingertips, and you will get our candid and frank
opinions on the growing of carnivorous plants. So, I definitely
encourage you to check it out at:

So, what do you all think of the e-book so far? Is it worth the price?

Hi lspahan,

I just got it in today (actually, it came in yesterday but I didn't get off work til this morning). I spent about an hour or so checking it out. It has a ton of info about CP's and how to grow and propagate them. Its straight forward and and in plain English. Lots of pictures!! And if I understood right...unlimited updates. It also comes with a free shareware that has some good basic info on CP's. I feel that its worth the cost to me, because I thought I've killed my share of VFT's. But according to the e-book, the way the VFT's were packaged, they never really had a chance for them to survive to begin with. If you're seriously into CP's, I'd recommend it. If any questions, just let me know :)

Eric

Thanks for posting feedback about the book. I was waiting to see what people thought before buying it.
BTW - Got your package in the mail today. Yesterday was a bust.

Thanks Melissa :)

NP...I understand. I'm still waiting to hear from Cook's CPs for an order I placed on 9/10. I've called several times and left messages...no response. Also sent them an e-mail...no response from that either. I don't know whats going on with them. I've ordered from them before w/ no problems at all. I'll let you know what happens.

Eric
