Smallest variety?

Albrightsville, PA(Zone 4a)

My hubby recently saw a JM used in a miniature landscape and wants to try his hand at one too. What's the smallest variety of JM? We would want to plant them in the ground and not use pots.

Look for Sharp's Pygmy. Tiny leaves, not likely to exceed 3 feet and doesn't really need much (pruning-wise) to retain a nice shape. I've attached a picture of one for ya...hope this helps!
