can you recommend source Iris purchase?

I just start to collect they. Can you recommend source for exotic iris? Those bi-colored, new varieties etc (and reasonable priced)? Thanks.

I like to drool over the pics at Nichol's Iris Garden -- their online catalog is pretty extensive! I ordered irises for my mom a couple years ago from them, and they were wonderful. They were also very helpful giving advice on rebloomers for her area and then about letting me change around the entire order after she got online and discovered the dwarf & intermediate varieties, LOL! Some of the folks in our local iris society seem to think highly of NIchol's also.

Here is a list of mail order sources for the iris you won't find in the stores.

Impressive Iris is in Australia so you can only go there to drool. You probably won't be able to buy now - it's pretty late to be planting iris in zone 6. But the sites mostly stay up and you can shop. I do have to say that you can get almost all of the cultivars that you see at Nicholl's for less money elsewhere. A good thing about them though is that they carry very hardy iris for the north. You should be sure to look at standard dwarf beardeds that grow very well in your area. They come up at a different time from the tall ones and they are very lovely.

Welcome to the iris world!

I also have 2 private iris growers to recommend: one in California and one in Deleware. Both have sent me incredible rzs at good prices and true to bloom. DGmail me & I'll send you to them.
