Just getting started

I finally bought my first house last year and the first thing I did last fall is build a huge garden. Now I need to start thinking about vegetables. Since this is going to be my first garden I'm at a loss as to how to start. I love all veggies, but hate buying them at the store. Is there anyone out there that could get me started with some veggie, or melon, seeds? I really dont have anything to trade yet, except maybe some computer knowledge ;-).
