Jamacian Velvet is a beauty. I bought one at our local iris sale. I wanted to vist Iris City Gardens in May, but when I was at my sister's it didn't work out for me to make the trip on down there.

It is good to hear that you are pleased with your order. They do have a good selection. I am trying not to order any more. LOL

I too recieved an order from ICG recently - all Sibs this time - wonderful plants -they are wonderful to order from. I agree, Jamacian Velvet is lovely! I would LOVE to see their gardens at peak...but alas, they are not in my Wisconsin neighborhood.

How close do you plant your new rhizomes? I have some in holding until I make a new bed. I planted 16 yesterday.

Well, I've planted my LA's about 16" apart. And the JI's a little farther.

The La are huge and Sib . looked like small La. they are so healthy.
