Japanese Yews

Culpeper, VA(Zone 7a)

Anyone use them as bonsai subjects?

While I realize that they wouldn't be classic, I have several adorable seedlings from a spreading type of Japanese Yew that I think would work well if planned correctly.

I don't see any reason they couldn't be used. Yew is quite easy to work with. You might want to plan on a large style bonsai rather than the really small type, but it should work. Let me know how it turns out.

Are you "into" bonsai? If so you should stop by next time you get up here. I am hopelessly addicted!!!

Do you have any comments about this bonsai - one of my collection ([HYPERLINK@www.bonsaistar.com]) ?
