Corkscrew Vine
Doris,
I think that is a Purple Hyacinth bean vine. It sometimes acts as a perrenial here in Southern California.
Gourd is right, hyacinth bean. The pods will turn purple when they are ripe. Is your weather already getting cold enough to have to bring things in?? wow!
oooops, thanks for telling me, I got it as a Corkscrew vine, flower is still pretty.
No it isn't cold but I have so many Brugs to think about I am starting some of the smaller plants now.
