My 10 year-old mountain ash tree's leaves are being eaten by something !? I've kept an eye on the tree, but have not been able to see any chomping pests.
The hungry critter(s) are very thorough. They attack one area ( approx one square foot ) at a time, and eat all the leave except for the tiny stems / veins down the middle of the leaf.
I am in zone 5 ( Southern Ontario )
Any thoughts on what might be the cause of this, and more importantly, how to stop my leaves from being consumed would be greatly appreciated. Thanks !
Mountain Ash leaves .... chomp, chomp
Hi!
Don't know what is eating your tree, but thought I could give you some links that might help. I think what you described sounds like gypsy moth larvae damage...check the 1st link. Good luck!
