I don't want to repel I want to kill

St. Louis, MO(Zone 5b)

Was just in my yard and was attacked by mosquitoes. I managed to kill 5. I have cutter and that's fine but I want to KILL these disease carrying vermin. I live with and care for my elderly parents and I shudder to think what would happen if they got west nile. We just got our gutters cleaned because I understand they mostly breed in standing water there in urban areas.

I'm looking for suggestions for mosquito traps and killing agents.

As anyone ever tried the biter fighter:

WalMart, garden centers, etc. all have good products for this problem. What you can use will, of course, depend on what else is in your yard. Like poultry, cats & dogs, etc.

I have no pets, except the wild birds, squirrels and chipmonks I feed. Once in a very blue moon a cat walks through our yard (until I chase it out), so I guess I wouldn't want anything that could harm animals.

You only need to be concerned about constant exposure. The occasional critter that walks thru is unlikely to be affected.

Just be thankful you dont live here!
It can be kind of expensive but here we use a trap that hooks up to a propane bottle.I t sounds strange but it really works! This is not the one I have but it is simlar. http://www.mosquito-control-guide.com/
