This was my first asarina species, I really enjoyed it. The pollinating bees went bonkers over the flowers!

Lovely! I just adore asarina. It is the only vine I have grown that thrives in full dense shade. And for me it is evergreen & just blooms its heart out year around. I grow it up all 3 of my trees, up my clothesline pole & as a ground cover in another spot. But it can get quite huge. On the trees I used the green plastic fencing to make a loose circle around it, and fortunately on this magnolia the fencing did not reach the branches. But on my other big tree it did and the Asarina has climbed up into it. Must be at least 25 ft up into the tree!
It is really easy to dig up clumps & put where you want since it sends down roots where it touches soil.

I have the dark purple, light purple and the pink. I have heard there is a red but have not come across that one yet. Have any of you seen it?
