last year we cut down 2 huge 30 year old maples due to carpenter ant infestation. I did cry loosing those beautiful huge trees but love that my sewers are not backed up due to roots!
when we had the stumps ground down this spring we had a ton of maple shavings left. Can I use this as mulch? can I mix it into my clay dirt to rot over winter?
