What kind of "Cement" do you use?

I just made two bird baths from molding them to large gourd leaves and pouring quikcrete over it. I want to know what other types of cement/concrete y'all use for projects like this? The quikcrete had pea size pebbles in it so I know the texture of my projects won't be smooth. I also have 2 bags of Portland cement to eventually make some hypertufha pots with.

Any ideas what I can use so I don't have to purchase each kind of cement to find something smooth?
