A new bloom in my garden today

This greeted me this morning....I don't have her name, but she is a red clematis

Oh sooo pretty! Mine are right behind yours. Should start blooming this week. The blooming vines help to make Fall fun.

Sorry, I didn't pay attention. Mine is a red passion Vine. I'm sure that the one in the picture is also....Silly Grin on my face.

Grinning here, too. Mine was sold as a clematis but I believe you both are correct. I'm new to vines and believed the Garden Center owner when he said it was clematis. He said he got it from the Clemson Agriculture College. I was so pleased to find a red bloom, I didn't even look closely at her form LOL.

I bet you will like this a lot more than the clematis. It should bloom until frost. Mine can't take the winter and I have to dig them up and bring them in. With your climate yours should bloom for a long time.

I am going to have some purple seeds in about a month if you want some.
