Does anybody have any experience with growing cucumbers and having a bug infestation. Will using an insecticide on them influence the bees pollinating the bloosoms?
cucmbers and insecticides
It depends what insecticide product you are going to use. Some will affect bees and some will not. Usually if you look up an insecticide product online, there is something called an "MSDS" that you can read. It stands for Material Safety Data Sheet" and it will give information on the toxicity of the insecticide to various non-target organisms, like fish and frogs and others, including bees.
Also, it depends when you spray it. Try to spray when bees are not generally active in your cucumbers. Here is a useful link on protecting bees when using insecticide.
