Last fall I made an honest effort to have an organized formal clean cut flower bed. I put in 2 sizes of allium bulbs in nice neat rows and was very careful not to find a blank spot to tuck in a plant that needed a spot.
After about 8 months of waiting for those tall wonderful allium, I gave up hope and started putting some things in that would give me some satisfaction.
I planted some Red Cypress vines and some Blue Pea ( c-word) Vines on the little wire fence. Behind these I have some Peacock Orchids, one which has a white bloom. So when they are all cooperating I have blooms of red, white and blue. (In this picture the peacock is not cooperating, just imagine tho)
