These 1 inch fruits looks like a miniature watermelons and suppose to have a sweet cucumber flavor, contrasted by a sour taste..mmm...They grow wild here..

Hubby eats them in his salad...he told me that they taste like cucumbers to him..just pick and wash them...Old heirloom variety of the past..

They are cute.
Do you save the seeds?

I just did a quick search on them, and the info says they are caudiforms...guess yours come back from the tuberous roots each year

My father grew mexican sour gherkins last year. They were quite delicious. He even made pickles out of them and they are good also. I hope you enjoy them as much as we did last season.

I can save the fruits for ya since they are doing that...and let them dry..I just let them all drop to the ground after so long picking some for hubby...

sure! They'd be fun to try!
I'll come up with something to trade for you. Anything, or particular vine you are looking for?
