Arctic Queen Clematis Pruning

I bought one of these at the community's fundraiser and I'm new to clematis and I'm in the dark.

This is a group 2 and I'm getting mixed directions on pruning. I prune in early spring, after it flowers, or both? How far down? What do I cut???!
