? tool remove layers of vinyl floor?

We are in process of removing 3 layers of flooring in kitchen. We are using something that resembles a 3 foot crow bar with no hook part. We want to get to the fir floor to refinish. I have done an area of 3 feet x 3 feet. Just looking for a "miracle tool".
