Encyclopedia of Hydrangeas Posy-bouquet series

Woodstock, GA(Zone 7b)

I bought the "Encyclopedia of Hydrangeas" by C.J. and D.M. Gelderen and have fallen in love with the posy series on page 166. The problem is that i cant find them anywhere! I have contacted the writers of the book and they do not know how to obtain them. I know that they are a japanese introduction, but cannot seem to find any information on them. Does anyone have any ideas? The book says they were developed by Sakamoto, Syoui Seta Gun, Japan. They were displayed at Floriade 2002. I tried looking up the Japanese Hydrangea society but unfortunately cant seem to read Japanese even when diciphered! Am I going to have to travel all the way to Japan to find these guys? Anyhow, any information/ideas/cuttings will be greatly appreciated.

here is the only other pic i found on the internet:

Hi,Suzanne,
Japanese or any other Asian hydrangeas are difficult to find.
There are bans put out from the USDA, that doesn't allow importation directly from Asia.
There are a few nurseries in the US that can offer some.
Heronswood Nursery is a great site with lovely plants...

Let me know if you find any you like!...dd
