Someone will come along and answer your questions marie.

I have green fruits on my incarnatas, seems someone told me in another post, that they are ripe when they turn orange. I;ve been watching, it takes a while for them to turn orange.

I usually leave the fruit on the vine till it falls off. Most fruits will change from green to red, orange, yellow or purple and become soft and shriveled. P. vitifolia stays green and firm even after it falls from the vine.
Bugs probably won't bother your fruit. I wouldn't repot the plant while it has fruit on it, your fruit might fall off.
