Love his message board--got so many new ideas, so I'm putting my 2 cents in. I make the best fire starters by using dryer lint. Stuff the dryer lint (I save in an old coffe can on the dryer) into paper egg cartons. Then pour melted wax over till it starts to saturate the paper egg carton. To use, tear off 1 egg "cell" and light. The wax will keep it burning till you can get your kindling going good. These things will even work in a rainstorm.
