Sandy, your first butterfly is a black swallowtail, the second is a red-spotted purple, the last a monarch. I'm glad you are enjoying attracting butterflies to your yard. It is wonderful to me to see them flitting from flower to flower. The next time you are near a big bookstore, you might want to get the National Audubon Society's Pocket Guide for Familiar Butterflies of North America. I have really enjoyed my guide, and I participated in a butterfly count in my area a few years ago using it to help me identify butterflies. Now, I just enjoy identifying them for myself. Send more pictures when you have time. Linda
