Ok, I have them. They're all over everything. I thought they were a type of ladybug through the summer and didn't worry much about them because they weren't eating anything. Now, they are eating all my leaves, melons, zucchini, etc, and also eating perennials. Is this a short feeding stage before they do something else? Or will they now eat until the frost? Any suggestions before I have no leaves left? Do pyrethrins work on these guys? Thanks...
Spotted cucumber beetles
Yes, Pyrethrin is registered for use on cucumber beetles. And yes they will continue.
Bother. Why is it that they were sort of quiescent all summer until now?
