i am in zone 5b in upstate new york. i missed my first chance to plant the seeds outdoors. when is the next time i can put some into the ground or better yet, into 5 gallon containers. my first frost usually comes in oct or november. thanks

Herbie peas in this zone are cool weather crops you may get away with it late late aug or 1st of sep but I think next spring is a more likely time. Since you are growing in pots if you set them close to the house they will stand a few frost especiall if you are willing to cover them at night. Ernie

its been the pits for past three days but thursday and today not so bad. thursday temps onlyh in 70's.
