I'd put 'Evening Drama' in the purple category, although it's kind of a combo....

I planted Batik BB 3 times & thought I'd lost it--but it broke into beautiful bloom this spring--no missing THIS one!

Of course I'd love to get my hands on a piece of Gazellegant but here is a reblooming purple, FALL FESTIVAL...

When 'Anxious' TB was given as an extra, I wasn't too excited until she bloomed. She is delicate little flower and a great rebloomer. Love the honey hafts on this lavendar beauty.

Here is a nice historic my Dad gave me when I started my garden. Don't know it's name but she's wonderful.

Titan's Glory is a rich deeply ruffled purple.

Anne Newhard is one of those tough historics you hear about. Even Walker "favoring" it's corner has not killed it!

Gay Parasol is half purple--does that count?

In the SDB category there is PLUM WINE

Hellcat IB got hit pretty hard by the late frost, but I still amanaged to get a shot or two of it. I love the pale blue/ purple combo.

Does violet count? This is 'Fancy Dress'. She's short and belongs at the front of the border. I would classify her as a BB - but then I didn't make the decision.

This is IB 'Sailor'. Also very short - It's less than 12" tall in my garden.

Last but not least - Dusky Challenger. I'm not sure an Iris garden is done without it. Such a performer. - That is if you love purple.

Sailor looks similar to the TB Everything Plus. That Fancy Dress is one that should be rooted in my closet for sure!

Wouldn't 'sailor' and 'Everything Else' look great in a bed with one other colorway of iris?

Cherished Friendship is growing in 1/2 shade and loving it!

I think Chinese Empress counts--she has lilac standards with deep velvet falls. Again, growing in mostly shade.

Licorice Stick is an old one with lovely dog eared falls & a velvety look. About as deep a purple as you can go...

Living Right is more in the lilac tones than purple--beautiful ruffled blooms!

Mary Frances seems to change color on me--lavender one year & lilac the next....

Perfection is 1/2 purple--does that count? Very old & very tough.

Cantina is blooming right now. There's no way to describe the color of this iris. But certainly it has a purple theme.
