Euonymus scale

Dearborn, MI(Zone 5b)

Does anyone have any suggestions for controlling euonymus scale? Most years it is there, but the infestations haven't been severe. This year is another story--the green leaves and stems are solidly white, and will die if I don't do something quickly. Help!

Maybe this bulletin from Clemson University will help. http://tinyurl.com/9acs7

if that doesn't help, try a search on "scale" herre, i have come accross a lot of info lately but can't quite remember where at DG i saw it...

Thank you, Yuska. Lots of good information in the bulletin--worrisome, too, because the infestation is very heavy. Pruning will be a place to start. TamaraFaye, I will search DG and see what I find. Thanks again to both of you. My plants are mature, and I really don't want to lose them.
