question about geraniums

I have a planter of geraniums that wasn't producing new flowers. I put it in a sunnier location, but besides still no flowers, the leaves are getting brown spots on them. Can this be caused by insects/ What else could it be?

The only thing I have heard about geraniums is that they almost like to feel crowded rootwise that is in order to perform well in containers. Just an idea?

Water them with some water with hydrogen peroxide added 1T to 1 quart water, and feed too.
