Hi guys! My winter squash has not been producing any female flowers. Could this be due to the hot weather (100+ for a week now)? Thanks,
Lindsey :)
Winter Squash flowers
Hi Lindsey,
I am in central Utah with high temps as well and no female flowers on my banna squash though I do have a TON of male flowers. Been blooming for a little over two weeks. Hope I get something from them. :(
It took all my squash (and melons) about 2-3 weeks of producing male flowers before they began to produce female flowers. Not as hot here but steady 90's. I think it just takes time.
Thank you for all the advice. I guess I just need to be patient. I get so excited to have squash! Thanks,
Lindsey
