Plant Destruction! HELP!!!

Milton, VT(Zone 4a)

Somebody's really hungry for certain plants of mine and it's not good for the Blood Pressure!

They have been devouring my Asters leaves, Raspberry leaves, Dahlia Flowers, Echineacia leaves and flowers.

Are these bugs the culprits?(See Pic)...what are these bugs anyways? I have tries Bug-B-Gone without much success.

Those are Japanese Beetles and yes the damage can be caused by those pests.
See other posts within this forum in regards to those "buggers".

If the beatles in the picture are Japanese Beatles, then what are the brown ones that look very much like them and are about the same size. The brown ones always like getting in my windows at night. I find then in the soil all the time.

Junebugs are brown and the same shape, but half again as large. Their grubs are in the soil, fat, white with a brown head, about 3/4" long.
