Nasturtians in almost full shade

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

but HOT shade.

They have grown very well here every year. The plants get real big, and cascade over a tall concrete flower bed that I'd had difficulty getting anything else to thrive in.

Aren't nasturtiums fun? It's great that they grow in your hot shade "trouble spot." I'm waiting for my new white ones to bloom. Mahogany looks great too. But for vigor, there's nothing like the old-fashioned golds and oranges.

Nothing as tasty in a salad either!!!

Karrie, do you get many blooms in full shade?

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

yes - this year there are oodles of them. At first they hid under the leaves but right now there are hundreds, popping out everywhere.
